Waxing removes hair directly from the root using warm professional wax. As the hair is removed from the follicle, your skin stays smoother for much longer than shaving.

Over time, with regular waxing appointments, many clients notice their hair becomes finer, softer and grows back more slowly.

Waxing is suitable for most healthy adults and can be performed on the face, body and intimate areas.

Before your appointment, please let me know if you:

• Are using Roaccutane or have recently finished a course.
• Use Retinol, Tretinoin or strong exfoliating skincare on the treatment area.
• Have recently had laser treatments, chemical peels or sunburn.
• Have any cuts, infections or irritated skin.

If you’re unsure, simply get in touch and I’ll happily advise you.

For the best results:

• Allow your hair to grow to approximately 5–10mm (around 2–3 weeks after shaving).
• Avoid moisturisers, oils or fake tan on the day of your appointment.
• Gently exfoliate the area 24–48 hours beforehand.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing if you’re having body or intimate waxing.

Your appointment will begin with a quick consultation before the area is cleansed and prepared.

Professional wax is then applied and removed in sections to achieve the smoothest possible finish. Depending on the treatment area, the appointment usually takes between 10 and 60 minutes.

Some redness immediately afterwards is completely normal and usually settles within a few hours

For the first 24–48 hours, avoid:

• Hot baths, hot showers or saunas
• Swimming pools and hot tubs
• Heavy exercise
• Fake tan
• Perfumed products on the treated area
• Direct sun exposure

Keeping the skin clean and moisturised will help it heal quickly.

Exfoliate gently 2–3 times per week after 48 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.
• Moisturise daily to keep the skin healthy.
• Book regular appointments every 4–6 weeks.
• Avoid shaving between appointments, as this helps maintain the waxing cycle and gives longer-lasting results.
