Dermal fillers is a safe and effective way to improve your concerns with out over powering or losing your features. I think we have all heard the term unnatural and although this can be a desired look for some this definitely doesn’t have to be your approach, in fact many ladies and man have dermal filler treatment’s and you wouldn’t even realise!
Dermal fillers are becoming more normalised due to the fantastic results they can provide especially when compared to surgery. Many celebrities have had dermal fillers, anti wrinkle injections and threads which are all classed as non surgical treatments which has provided them with much younger looking skin with out having to go under the knife or pay out outrageous surgery fees.
Way not level up the smart way? Remember nobody needs to know, Shhh!

All injectable treatment’s will need a medical consultation carried out before injecting this will also include digital pictures, discussing pre and post aftercare guidance required and how the process actually works, I will also give you time to ask me as many questions as you like.
A lot of people don’t know that Dermal Fillers are also used as a preventative of aging, That’s right! They are used before the facial crease gets deeper, Let me explain.
Over time a facial crease will naturally become deeper but if we fill the area before this happens we can successfully prevent the crease from forming making us look younger for longer!
So when you start seeing your first creases naturally form (between the ages of 24 – 35) get on top of them before they become harder to fill/cover in the future.
The same goes to Anti-Wrinkle Injections, start before for better results.
Most frequent questions and answers
If you are new to dermal fillers and have been considering having some but have no idea on how much you need? Don’t worry! your practitioner will understand this and will have a full consultation with you to discuss exactly what your trying to achieve and assess the right amount of product needed.
However in my eyes less is more, you can always come back two weeks later after having your first injecting to have more dermal filler put in. When your new I actually recommend having a small amount first (0.5ml or 0.7ml) especially if your very nervous about the process, this just allows you to see yourself with a slight difference and get you comfortable before making the decision to go bigger. (The majority of clients will always come back for more) and that’s completely fine!
This is called Fordyce spots, These harmless, tiny (1 to 2 millimeter) white bumps inside the lips are visible sebaceous, or oil-producing, glands. These spots tend to get bigger as a person gets older. A person may have one small bump or as many as 100 bumps on the lips, typically on the inner portion.
When you have dermal filler injected in to the lips it can push the glands forward and make them more noticeable. In 1 – 2 weeks they usually settle back down but in some cases they stay how they are presented. (Again they are harmless)
Before injecting your practitioner should look out for this and tell you before so you can make the choice of continuing with this being a outcome. I have treated many clients with this and all have been so happy with getting the lips that they wanted that the little white dots don’t even bother them in the slightest.
It honestly isn’t as bad as it sounds, I have had the treatment done as well and I did find it pinchy at times but definitely manageable.
Before the treatment you will apply numbing cream to the area getting treated and inside the dermal fillers is another numbing agent called lidocaine so it’s fair to say you will be pretty numbed up!
Most dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a natural compound that aids in the production of collagen and elastin with in our body’s. Over time our body’s will naturally break down the dermal filler however this process differs between each individual and the dermal filler product used.
Usually people will see a change with the mass of there fillers 6 – 12 months of having them and might require a top up treatment. Dermal fillers can last any time between 4 months and even 5 years, my dermal filler in my lips lasted just under 2 years but I also know people who’s dermal filler lasted just over 4 months so it can really differ between each individual and there is no way in telling how long it will last until you have the treatment is done.
